Lifting the evacuation order for more than 180,000 Sacramento Valley residents was great to hear, but stressful times remain as we are far from clear of problems from the situation at Oroville Dam.

What impresses me during times like this are the acts of kindness from the people of our valley. Some acts are simple; some are more profound. All are appreciated. Here are just a few examples:

The sense of community we have here in our valley is amazing! There are big hurdles to clear as the epic winter continues. Together, we will get through all of this.
